" I'm all about kick-ass, monster fighting females (blame Buffy The Vampire Slayer for that), and this novella had exactly what I needed. Lola is a bold & feisty female heroine, and it was great reading from her perspective. However, Eaton doesn't make Lola completely fearless, which makes the story of a mortal who is caught in this post-apocalyptic attack more believable. "
