My Blog is Boring

My blog is boring. There. I’ve said. Which means (sadly) it must be true.

It’s a little perplexing because, except for the occasional asleep on the sofa by eight o’clock thing I have going on, I’m not really a boring person. I swear. And I like to think I’m even kind of funny. Well, sometimes. At least that’s what my mom tells me, and for all of those of you out there who are like “well duh, it’s your mom, she’s always going to say nice things” how about NO. We’re talking about the woman who called her own grandchild “simple”! Now, granted, the grandchild she was talking about is furry, has four legs, and bites his own tail… but still, simple? More like genius. More like SMARTEST DOG IN THE ENTIRE WORLD.

But I digress.

So yeah, back to my blog being just about the most boring thing on the face of the earth.

I think where I’ve gotten a little lost is that, ultimately, this blog has been used as a tool to promote my writing (see the cleverly placed books on the right hand side? See them? SEE THEM?!) and not a personal diary, per say. But why would anyone bother reading a blog that’s sole purpose is to promote someone’s writing?

Answer: they wouldn’t.

Clearly.

Which means I need to reassemble the troops. Start brainstorming. Get my ass in gear. Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. So instead of mindlessly surfing through Facebook when I have writer’s block, wasting hours upon hours of precious time looking at babies doing amazingly talented things like smiling, I’m going to work on this blog.

I’m a big format person. While I haven’t figured out everything yet, I sort of like the idea of certain days being reserved for certain topics. For example:

Monday – New Excerpt from my WIP

Tuesday – Book review of a novel I finished over the weekend

Wednesday – Pictures of hot naked men Puppies. Pictures of puppies.

Thursday – Personal Diary Day

Friday – Cover Reveals (for historical romance)

Saturday – Dunno

Sunday – Guest blog post???

That sort of sucks, but I made it up on the spot. What do you want from me? I stuffed myself with Panera Bread today. My brain is basically broccoli soup mush.

Anyways, that’s the plan stan.

So check back soon as I give this big, boring blog a major facelift. Until then, here are puppy pictures. Puppy pictures taken, by the way, from the Lehigh Valley Humane Society (located in Allentown, Pennsylvania). Which means all these dogs are available for adoption!
